How to Relax
September 11, 2008
Ah. If you know me, you know that I over analyze and stress out really easily. As this tends to induce migraines, part one of Operation: Get Christine & Seth Married is to make me relax. (Part two is to plan a wedding, if you’re curious.) So how exactly does one de-stress on a regular basis?
One of the things that makes me feel best is going to the gym and walking on a treadmill. Don’t know why, but it’s got to be on a treadmill. I can read while on a treadmill. Maybe that’s it. Now I just have to get my butt over there.
I’ve taken to drinking decaf tea with breakfast. And petting the cats a lot more. I tried getting a massage earlier this year, but the oil they used gave me some sort of hives/rash on my arms and legs after a day, so that option is pretty much out. I’d like to get one of those therapeutic heat wrap thingies filled with lavender, but I haven’t quite gotten there yet.
Any other suggestions for a known migraineur? I could just stock up on limes for the next year or so. We’d have to build that feature into the wedding budget.
Thanks to Vivid Light for the picture.

Instead of massages, manicures are a very budget friendly relaxing treat.
Or stock up on some bubble bath and candles.
